Dutch Care Articles Databank (NAZ)
Nursing staff and paramedics take note: the Dutch Care Articles Databank (NAZ - Nederlandse Artikelenbank voor de Zorg) has been completely renewed. This databank contains over 40,000 descriptions of articles from 150 Dutch-language care-related magazines since 2000. Where possible, these references contain links to the complete articles. Predatory Journal Checklist

The magazine Med Health Care Philos recently published an article on predatory publishing entitled: ‘The false academy:predatory publishing in science and bioethics’.
The article contained a checklist of no less than 24 features to consider when checking whether a journal might be a predatory journal. Aspects to be aware of are, for example, whether the publication is affiliated with an official, trustworthy professional organisation, and whether it bears a very strong resemblance to well-known magazines. You are also referred to the Walaeus Open Access Guide for more checklists for recognising Predatory Open Access Publishers.

New MeSH terms as of 2017

The list of indexing terms used by PubMed (Medical Subject Headings, so-called MeSH terms) is updated every year. A striking new term that will be included as of 2017 is:
Alert Fatigue, Health Personnel
Mental fatigue experienced by health care providers who encounter numerous alerts and reminders from the use of Clinical Decision Support Systems. As the numbers of alerts and reminders designed to provide meaningful assistance to the patient care process increases, many health personnel may ignore them.

Check more new terms in this list and view the renewed help page.
